Event Days -- June 9th to 11th, 2017

Friday, June 9th

  • 10:45am -- Ladies for Liberty Musical Tribute to WWII / open air appearance, Herzberg Park, Acadia Drive (behind Sherbrooke Veterans Village); open to public; performance before & after Parachute Demo.
  • 11:00am -- Sky Hawks Parachute Team Commemorative Demonstration at Sherbrooke Veterans Village (Drop Zone in Herzberg park, behind Sherbrooke), Acadia Drive.
  • 14:00 to 15:00pm -- Ladies for Liberty Community Appearance (Location TBC)
  • 13:00 to 15:00pm -- Snowbirds & Hornet Practice at 17 Wing Dundurn (closed to public access)
  • Teams’ Tentative Fly-Over of Vimy Memorial, Spadina Cres, Saskatoon; Teams’ Fly-Over of Whitecap-Dakota First Nation (both locations enroute to 17 Wing Show Site Practice)

Saturday, June 10th

Note: Snowbirds & CF-18 Hornet Commemorative Fly-Overs of Wyant Group Raceway Tribute and Whitecap-Dakota First Nation, enroute to 17 Wing Detachment Dundurn show site.

  • 11:00am -- Gates Open at 17 Wing Detachment Dundurn (25 km south of Saskatoon on Hwy #11)
  • All Ground Displays and Activities Open
  • 13:30pm -- Opening Ceremonies / Parade of Heroes / Act of Remembrance
  • 14:00pm -- Canadian Armed Forces Sky Hawks Parachute Team
  • 14:30pm -- CF-18 Hornet Demonstration Team
  • 15:00 – 16:00pm -- Canadian Forces (various assets highlighted, Army-Navy & Air Force)
  • 16:30pm -- 431 Air Demonstration Team Snowbirds
  • 17:00pm -- Event Closes

Sunday, June 11th

  • Timings projected to be the sam as Saturday; anticipate Snowbirds and CF-18 Hornet appearance times to be reveresed.
